Okay, Halloween’s over and that means October is in the rear-view mirror. We look ahead to Thanksgiving and then the Christmas holiday. Before that, however, let’s take a look back at the fall posts.
Because I spent so much time working in September and October, I didn’t do much writing on The Next Phase Blog. So, I’m pulling together both months into one roundup. While I missed the writing, I was out of the house for most of the day, five to six days a week. That’s the downside.
Roundup of September-October 2023 Posts
The upside is that I gave tours to over 1600 cruise ship passengers, learned three new tours, lost four pounds, made enough money for another Viking River Cruise, and had a lot of fun. All in all, that’s a pretty good outcome.
You’ll see a lot of Boston posts because that’s where I spent most of my time: which means that’s where I got most of my creative inspiration.
Following is two months’ worth: the September/October 2023 blog posts. If you were as busy as I, you may not have had time to read the ones I did publish. So, here’s another opportunity to catch up.

A Crimp in the Writing
Ordinarily, having summarized the September-October 2023 posts, I would jump right back into writing more. Unfortunately, I’m having rotator cuff surgery on Nov. 3 and my right arm will be in a sling for four to six weeks. That puts me on the Disabled List, and I expect that to put a crimp in my writing.
But who knows? I may be able rest the sling on my desk and just use my fingers to type. Hope springs eternal. Stay tuned.
